Moira

I had a GOOD day today. ^_^

One of the perks of living by yourself is you can go for a walk and you don't have to let anyone know where you're going.

So it started off a lecture that I was dreading because I was told it was going to be a "debate" but they spent too long talking and luckily I wasn't picked on to talk ^_^

Then I went and got some Christmas shopping done which was fun because I was able to do a lot of walking with music which I always enjoy. And it makes me feel happy so I smile and then people give me really weird looks for being too upbeat. A few thing happened that were "twee" (meaning cute and/or embarrassing) Firstly, I bought Game of Thrones for myself. This is like therapy to me, buying books. I don't know why but I really enjoy it! It's like if I start a day off by buying a new book then the day is going to be a good one. Then I managed to find all the stuff I needed for other people as well. I don't mind spending money, but I particularly DON'T mind it when I'm spending it on other people. If the gift is good then I don't really care what the price is  as long as it's not extortionate.
One twee moment was in Past Times where (and I'm not sure if this is me getting too big headed) but one of the store guys kept looking at me. So I flashed a really big smile.
Another moment which was more embarrassing than "twee" was when there were two guys busking. Usually I walk straight by, especially if they are my age but I went busking with my friend the other day and I got a new appreciation for people that busk. (When me and my friend went busking I even sang as well xD I don't think I was that good but hell =P I was just worried about ruining her songs :3) Ok so this time I decided to put some money in. I got a bunch of coins and when I chucked them in a few rolled out... so I just walked away awkwardly... (SAP)
I also got a flaming cup of tea to take back with me so I could sit and drink it somewhere but the grass was wet and plus there wasn't anywhere particularly scenic to sit. So I carried the blasted thing back, burning that hand that was carrying it because I'm a klutz who keeps spilling things and crippling the other hand because it was carrying the rest of the shopping.

When I got back I decided to go for a walk. Because it was really nice out. Not sunny. In fact it was cloudy, windy and freezing. But it was bracing and with a hoodie and a coat on it didn't really bother me that much. Plus there was a graveyard near by that I really wanted to explore so I went there.
When I first went in I thought it was really small but after walking around for ages I found it most certainly was not.
It was very emotional walking around and I did cry because a) I'm on b) I needed an excuse to cry and c) I kept thinking of my Grandparents already past and my Grandad who is ill d) some of the things written on the graves where so touching. Especially the ones that were for spouses.
Then when I came to the children's graves the tears came flooding. No parent should ever have to bury their child.
I found a bench with ribbons tied to the tree around it and I sat down there for a bit to calm down. The bench was dedicated to a woman called Moira (her nickname, I think her real name was Ellen, but I can't remember, I plan on visiting her often anyway so I will learn) There were  plaques from her husband and her daughter and I also found her grave which was decorated with a picture of her and funnily enough when I was imagining her, she looked fairly similar.
As I walked round I straightened statues and put flowers that had been blown over back for some of the graves. It felt like doing a good deed.
I also had a chat to man who came to clean up one his relatives(?) graves'
Then I named some squirrels (Moe and Louey) and stalked a cat.

I walked out of the cemetery feeling refreshed ^_^
